Robber Hacks 2 dogs With knife

A wicked robber has hacked to dogs with a large knife injuring them after he tried to steal their food to sell at the market in Amphur Sattahip.

SATTAHIP – February 24, 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 3.00 p.m., a Mr. Sawang Phonthamai, aged 59, who is a man that fed over 30 stray dogs and stayed in a run-down cottage in an Eucalyptus forest in Soi Sattahip Sukhumvit 109 Tambon Phlutaluang, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province notified reporters that his cottage had be ransacked while he was out getting the dogs’ food. The robber had tried to rob the dogs food which had been donated by charitable people in order for him to resell at the market. The dogs then attacked him so he attacked them with a large knife injuring both of them.

 

Upon inspecting the 2 injured dogs which were identified as Big Da, a Thai breed male dog, aged 10 months old who had been injured in the left upper leg and the wound was about 2-inches long. It was taken to Sattahip Animal Hospital where it received 10 stitches from the vet. The other dog named Big Yon, a 1 year old Thai breed male dog had suffered wounds to his nape and was only slightly injured.

Mr. Sawang Phonthamai said that after the mass media had publicised about his life that he had devoted himself to stay and look after over 30 stray dogs and there were a lot of kind-hearted people had donated money, dog food, rice and other necessary utilities for daily life to him and the dogs. Mr. Sawang and over 30 dogs had much better live than they did before but they live in fear that thieves will try and rob the dogs’ food which is worth from 800 – 1,200 THB. He felt sorry for his 2 dogs that were attacked and he pleaded to the attackers not to attack living creatures because bad karma will catch up with them.
