Rayong Crude Oil Leak En Route To Mae Phim Beachs

The crude oil that leaked into the sea off Rayong that affected Samet Island has now been confirmed to be on its way to the Mae Phim Beach in Rayong.

Rayong – July 30, 2013; The District Chief Officer of Rayong revealed that the crude oil spill situation is slowly getting into control of authorities. He assured that the marine ecosystem that was affected from the spill will be revived as soon as possible.

It was reported that the oil has now reached the Ban Phe Beach, as stains of oil were found on the sand and rocks. Fisherman in the area have been affected, making their income extremely low. PTT promised to pay for all the damages that the oil spill caused to fishermen or resort owner.

Authorities are still working 24/7 to reduce the oil in the sea and on the affected beaches.

 

 

 


Royal Thai Navy Puts Barrier Around Crude Oil Spill off Rayong

The Royal Thai Navy (Region 1) sent helicopters and ships to clean and block oil slicks that leaked out of a pipeline that was operated by PTTGC.
