Pub Guard Surrendered After Intervening Officer Inspection In Pattaya

A guard who pushed the police officer during inspection surrendered himself to the police in the Pattaya police station. Also he apologized to the police for what he had done.

PATTAYA- Recently- [Pattaya Daily News] according to the case on 25 December that Pol.Capt.Yongyut Wannua-deputy inspector of Pattaya police station- had patrolled on Pattaya beach then a girl who was attacked by a foreigner in a pub notified him to arrest the man. Later the officials went to inspect the pub but the pub guard disallowed the officials to inspect, he pushed Pol.Capt.Yongyut during the investigation. Later the officials asked more officials to inspect and they found 7 Myanmar employee’s who had no permission to be there, officials arrested Mr.Warut Treesupana aged 46 the manager, with a view to prosecute him. meanwhile the guard fled away during the inspection.

 

On 26 December at 16.30 pm Mr.Withoon Saomok aged 40 who was the guard, surrendered himself to the police confessing that he had just worked in the pub for last 15 days and that he was normally in charge of taking care of the cars of the customers. However he had to work as the guard because there was insufficient staff on that day.

 

Pol.Capt.Yongyut went to inspect the pub, he didn’t wear the police uniform and the guard was unaware that he was police so he stopped him, he thought that Pol.Capt.Yongyut was the husband of the girl who was harmed. Later he decided to flee away and surrender himself to the police and he would like to apologize to Pol.Capt.Yongyut.

 

Po.Capt.Yongyut revealed that he was notified by the girl that she was attacked by a foreigner so he went to inspect the pub. However he was accompanied with the police in uniform and he showed Mr.Withoon that he was an officer but he was unable to gain access, he was pushed back and along with the officers, denied access to the premises. However he forgave what Mr.Withoon did because he apologized for what he had done but he will be prosecuted according the law.

 

Pol.Col.Suppatee revealed that the police officers prosecuted Mr.Withoon on charge of obstructing the officers during operation. Surrendering himself to the police officers he was granted bail to bail, set at 30,000 baht.
