German Kohlmann and Austrian Peya beat the Thai duo in an exciting three-set match, 2-6, 6-1, 10-6.

Despite the loss, Srichaphan was upbeat about his comeback. “I feel good, actually I want to play singles but my body is not physically ready yet,” he said.

“I was very happy to play and come back. I have more confidence now after this,” added the former Thai #1 who said he misses the tennis court and intends to cautiously choose tournaments in his return to singles tennis.

Srichaphan’s last tournament was two and a half year ago in Miami where he sustained a wrist injury forcing him to retire from the tournament and the game.
