Pattaya, the 12th of January 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]:  The Banglamung School is a combination of senior and junior schools, and the students are noted for their outstanding scholastic achievements. So why is this school so outstanding? – Much of the credit must go to the dedication of the teachers & staff, plus the enthusiasm of the students themselves. The speeches and solo singing of Thailand’s patriotic songs was carried out with clarity and precision by some very talented and loyal students, which was heart warming to witness.

Banglamung’s original Principal had held his position for many years, but advancing years forced him to retire and two months ago a younger Principal, Khun Warakorn Rungamon was appointed to this important position, with Miss Nisa Huasoon still acting as the Vice Principal.

The huge number of students are well organized, and the Banglamung School probably has the advantage of pooling government funds for greater efficiency on a larger scale of cost savings. This is evident when you see the range of services provided, such as large student counseling room where academic difficulties or personal problems can be discussed.

Moving around you can see four huge IT-computer rooms, where there are a great number of computers in each room, but remember there are well over 1,900 students. In addition to this, there is a separate multi-media room, which is increasingly important in today’s electronic world. Conversely there is also a conservation room that educates students on everything from re-cycling to electrical power saving methods or devices.

One of the most spectacular sections was the Art classes, where the art works on display showed that many students have a high degree of artistic ability. Viewing the wide range of images in their Gallery Room will very quickly bring you to the conclusion that our Banglamung School students of all ages are turning out art-works much better than their Western counterparts. Most of the decorative wall murals and paintings are painted by the art students, with some being several metres long.

If you ever get invited to North Pattaya’s Banglamung School, then make the effort to go, as you will get as bigger education as the students, and learn that this large north Pattaya School features prominently in receiving “Best Practices” Awards.
