Private Sectors to Promote Beach Road Bus Stops

28 private network organisations of Pattaya city have had a press conference ahead of the proposed parade down beach road where they will hand out brochures and car stickers. The parade is to promote the pilot project of installing 17 bus stops along beach road where passengers will be picked up and dropped off in the hope of easing traffic congestion

PATTAYA – January 17, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 p.m. at Flipper House hotel, Pattaya city, Chonburi province, Mr. Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn (Chairman of Businessmen and Pattaya Tourism Association) together with 28 private network organisations held a press conference about the readiness to organise a pilot project of systemising the public transportation which will include 17 bus stops on Pattaya beach road.

Mr. Sinchai Watthanasartsathorn (Chairman of Businessmen and Pattaya Tourism Association) revealed that the project of bus stops being placed on Pattaya beach road on January 8, 2014 which Businessmen and Pattaya Tourism Association cooperated with 28 private network organisations which consisted of Businessmen and Pattaya Tourism Association, Eastern Thai Hotels Association, Association of Food and Drink Administrators in the eastern part of Thailand, YWCA Association (Pattaya branch), Association of The Northeastern People in Pattaya city, Pattaya Journalists Association, Association of Pattaya and Eastern Coast Chefs), Association of Pattaya Entertainment Spots Entrepreneurs, Lions Club of Pattaya city, Phratamnuk Na Kluea Pattaya, Pattaya Taksin, Pattaya Banglamung, Pattaya Nong Prue, Sawang Boriboon Tharmmasatharn rescued foundation, Pattaya City Council of Cultural Affair, Chonburi Tourist Attractions Club, Pattaya Hotel Club, Pattaya Spa Club, Pattaya Walking Street Club, Eastern Housewife Club, Pattay Bus Cooperative, Group of Women Development Pattaya City, Group of Pattaya Expat, Pattaya Sports Club, Pattaya Rotary Club, Pattaya Bartenders of Thailand Club and Group of 9 Pattaya. Also brochures and leaflets will be handed out in 5 different languages Thai, English, Russian, Korean and Chinese about the bus stop project on Pattaya beach road.

The planned activity is to be held on January 21, 2014 at 4.00 p.m. where there will be a parade of 28 private network organisations that will walk down beach road to promote the campaign further.


Pattaya Launched Traffic Organising Project

The Chonburi governor has launched a traffic organising project starting on Pattaya beach. The road will have signs to show designated spots where buses, minibuses and taxis will have to stop to load and unload their passengers rather than stopping randomly causing traffic congestion. He also insisted that there would be fines for anybody no adhering to the new policy.
