The British Army backed up their plans on sending Prince Harry of Britain since they have come to realize that he will not be only a threat on his own, but also a danger to the people around him.

Prince Harry was expected to be in southern Iraq for the next few weeks, but Army Chief of Staff Gen. Sir Richard Dannatt, who visited there recently said that the situation up there is too dangerous and the media exaggerated too much in the condition.
Prince Harry stated that he is disappointed, for his dream of leading his own tank unit in Iraq wouldn’t be fulfilled, but he respects their decision.

Dannatt said the change of plan was due to the increasing number of threats over Prince Harry and the risks thrown over to his fellow warrior. Dannatt also speak out about the number of threats that have been reported and those that are not reported, which are not acceptable.

Prince Harry released a statement from his office saying that he is disappointed for not serving in Iraq as he hoped for. But he truly understands Dannatt’s decision and stated that he will still be committed to his Army career.

Dannatt gave honor to prince Harry’s statement, and once said that he is a professional army and his presence will be missed in Iraq.
