Postman Shocked After Finding Fake C4 Bomb In Postbox.

A postman notified the police that he had found a package that looked like a bomb in a postbox. The receiver told the police that the package was from her friend, who sent it as a joke to her. The package merely contained an alarm clock.

SAMUTSONGKRAM – June 11, 2013[Pattaya Daily News]; Police officers of Bangkontee police station, were informed from a postman that he had found a suspicious package in a postbox, he told the police that the package seemed more like a bomb rather than a regular package, which made him inform the police.

At the scene, police found a parcel box of the Thailand post. Inside the box, there was a suspicious package that was shaped like a C4 bomb. It was reported that electric wires were connected to an alarm which made it look like a bomb. There was also a note written along with fake bomb saying “You will die, old woman!”. A bomb disposal squad then put a tire around the bomb defused, but it turned it out to be a fake bomb.

From further investigating, police found out that the package was sent to Ms. Boonrudee. Ms. Boonrudee said that she believes her friend sent the package to prank her. Her friend was identified as Mr. Apichart, a friend of Ms. Boonrudee.

As soon as police learned his name, they called Mr. Apichart. He swiftly admitted that he did place the fake bomb and death note in the postbox to Ms. Boonrudee. He was charged 500 THB for unnecessarily summoning police and bomb disposal officers to the scene.
Police said that the alarm clock was sold over the internet from Chinese sellers, the alarm clock looked a lot like a C4 bomb. Police said that they shouldn’t buy the alarm clock to scare other people as it might create another unnecessary hassle.
