Chon-Buri, the 7th of February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: Reporters announced from the Chon-Buri Center Hospital on Sunday, that the other youth who was critically injured in the  shooting, Mr. Prapat Parnkaew [19] was recovering from his injuries and was now in a stable condition in hospital. Mr. Parnkaew will undergo further surgery on Monday morning to further treat his injuries.

Reporter interviewed Mr. Anan Ieamsa-ad, the father of Mr. Ammarin Ieamsa-as [17] who was killed in the same incident, explained that his son had been the eldest of his three children and was a bright, hard working and well behaved child. Tearfully Mr. Ieamsa-ad explained that his dear son had a cheerful and likable personality also greatly assisting the family by working part-time on the weekend whilst studying during the week. Mr. Ieamsa-ad revealed that he had been trying to provide his three boys with good education in the hopes that they would have a bright and secure future, giving back to the family once they had completed their studies.

Furthermore, Mr. Ieamsa-ad declared that he was extremely worried that the off-duty officer responsible for the death of his son, and critical injuries of Mr. Parnkaew, was going to be given lenient treatment by the courts due to the position of power he holds. He explained to reporters that he had been in contact with Mr. Manit Phawasut (Chon-Buri Council Member) about assisting in the litigation process, with Mr. Phawasut promising to observe the case to ensure that a fair and unbiased trial occurs.

At present, police Sergeant Major Weenut Nopphakhun, the murder suspect, has been informed of the charges brought against him but has subsequently been given bail and set free awaiting judicial procedures to commence. At 10:00am on Monday he is required to proceed for further interrogation at the Chon-Buri district headquarter.
