Police & Soldiers Raid Mixx Club Pattaya

Police and soldiers raided Mixx Club in Bali Hai Plaza building where they found some Thai and foreigners had consumed drugs. It’s expected that they knew the pub was going to be raided because lots of people escaped before the inspection.

PATTAYA – July 5, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 02.30 am. Pol.Col.Theerapol Jindaluang-deputy commander-and about 60 soldiers and Pattaya police officers raided Mixx Club Pattaya which is located on the top of Bali Hai Plaza building, Pattaya Tai, after they had been notified that the pub was operating out of hours.

The officers surrounded the entrance and exits before inspecting the pub. The officers then asked for permission to inspect about 200 Thais and foreign travellers for their ID cards and to search for drugs and weapons. Upon inspection they found 5 drugs addicts which consisted of 3 Russians (2 woman and 1 man) and Pub employees (1 woman and 1 man).

Initially the officers had sent the drug test results to hospital in order to confirm the test before prosecuting them. However some of the pubs customers had fled before being tested and the officers expected that they had known that the officers were going to raid the pub the day before.
