Police Raid Lucifer Pub in Pattaya

The police raided Lucifer pub after the security guards assaulted 2 Israeli brothers. The police found 2 drug addicts and 10 people who hadn’t brought their ID.

PATTAYA – June 9, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 02.00 am. Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasmongkol-inspector of Pattaya police station- was accompanied with Pol.Lt.Col.Thanapan Janthep, Pol.Lt.Col.Arun Prompun and about 50 police officers who then raided Lucifer pub walking street.

Upon inspecting the pub there were 300 Thais and expats inside. They then stopped the music and turned the lights on in order to search for illegal things such as drugs and weapons. Plus the police randomly tested urinalysis of the tourists and every worker and found that 2 people had failed the urine test and 10 people weren’t carrying their ID cards. While the foreigners collaborated with the police when they were asked to produce their passports.

In addition the police checked the permit of Mr.Chanin Pinkulboot and found out that the permit had expired in 2556. Initially the police detained the pub manager and the 2 people who failed the drugs test. The police also revealed that the pub’s security guards had attacked the 2 Israeli brothers which made the news yesterday which is destroying the image of Pattaya. However the police had ordered that if entertainment venues security guards harm any tourists, the operators will be arrested and prosecuted further according to Thai law.
