On 4 October 2007, at 12:20 AM, Banglamung, Chonburi Police Superintendent Sarayut Sa-gnuen-bpo-kai was notified by undercover police that a large group of people were involved in a dice game in an abandoned house on Soi Chaipornwithi 25, Moo 1, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. Police Major Thanadej Chomcheawcharn, of the crime suppression unit, along with a police team, rushed to the scene.
The scene was an abandoned house, about fifty meters off the road that was situated on a large mango orchard. About ten cars and twenty motorbikes were parked near the house. Approximately forty pairs of shoes lined the floor in front of the house. Police heard the sounds of gambling coming from the house and, immediately, raided the house and made arrests. When the gamblers became alerted to the presence of unwanted visitors, the police, they ran in all directions. Many disappeared into the darkness of the orchard. Police were only able to nab eight of the outlaws. Evidence consisted of twenty sets of dice, a mortar, four hundred ten baht in cash and about thirty cars and motorbikes.

Police Major Thanadej said that the gang was running roving gambling operations in many locations around the eastern provinces, such as: Rayong, Trad, Chacherng-sao, Chonburi; and other nearby areas. At this point, nobody has admitted to owning the house that was being used as the gambling venue. Police were unable to catch most of the gamblers due to a shortage of police manpower at the scene. Most of the gamblers managed to disappear into the pitch black orchard. Police will prosecute the gamblers that they managed to arrest to the full extent of the law.
