Police and Pattaya Hoteliers Discuss Taiwanese Bag Snatching

Police officers and hoteliers have discussed the incident about a rain coat gang who snatcher a Taiwanese tourists hand bag in Pattaya. They told tour guides and hoteliers to l warn tourists about being more careful with their belongings whilst in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – September 8, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 10.30 am Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit Mahathaworn-acting commander of police region 2-, Pol.Col.Thammanoon Munkong-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station-, Pol.Col.Chatchapol Pattarasiripok- police inspector, officers and hoteliers together discussed the case about a bag snatching rain coat gang who shot into the air when they were followed.


Previously, on September 8th at 00.10 am a Taiwanese tourist had notified the police at Bang Lamung police station that she had her bag snatched by a gang who were wearing rain coats at the beginning of Soi 14 Na Klua road.


Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit revealed that he had ordered his officers to hunt for the gang and to arrest them as soon as possible. Also he ordered his officers to patrol high risk areas in order to keep tourists safe.


In addition he informed hoteliers in Pattaya to install warning signs to warn tourists about the criminals that operate in the area. Also he informed guides to warn their tourists to be more careful with their belongings. However the police are still hunting the rain coat gang who snatched the bag from the Taiwanese tourist.
