Police Crack Down two gangs of Motorcycle thieves

Pattaya, 13 April 2011. [Pattaya Daily News] Police Genral Nantawut La-ongsuwan, Superintendent of Pattaya Police Department, and other police officer held a press conference about an arrest of Pattaya’s big motorbike stealing gangs. As Pattaya Police Officers were assigned to crack down all types of crimes committed on Songkran holiday especially theft crimes, as a result, the police arrested two big bike stealing gangs. The first gang was “Little Children Gang” (Dek Noi) and the second was “Children in Cage” Gang (Dek Kok)

The police identified the suspects as following 1). Mr. Tawatchai or Boy Kaipet, 16, the leader Little Children gang 2). Mr. Anucha or Pai Khawprasert, 34. 3.) Mr. Kiet or Yod Saetang, 36. 4.) Mr. Worapol or Joe, 16. 5). Mr. Sarayut or Ice Runburi, 17. 6). Mr. Panuwat or Q Numnuan, 16. 7.) Mr. Ekkachai or Tong Saetau, 19, the leader of Children in Stall gang 8). Mr. Nutthawut or Moo Pimsri, 19. 9). Mr. Rungrueng or Kae Kookratoke, 18. 10). Mr. Chatamorn or Taew Pinhirun, 23.

The suspects were caught possessing 10 motorbikes and bike stealing devices. The police suspected 8 bikes were stolen and 2 were used for escape. The gangs always stole bikes which were parked at Department Stores or isolated areas in Pattaya and Banglamung. Then, the suspects hid the bikes at the house of Mr. Chatamorn, one of the suspects. They modified keys and sold to the middlemen, Mr. Kiettiyod or Kiet and Mr. Eak or mon. They were caught this time as well. The police seized the stolen bikes from the middlemen total 16 bikes.

They confessed that they bought the bikes from the gangs about 2,500-3,000 Baht. They change the keys sets and then sold to other buyers[ agent] in Udornthani (Northeastern Region). He transported the bikes by buses of 404 Pattana Bus Company. They made profits about 1-2 thousands Baht per bike. They had been selling for more than 50 bikes. They added that the stealing gangs spent the money on Amphetamines and Ya-Ice. They had been stealing at least 100 bikes.Some were taken to the police station warehouse [ Center Garage]

The police announced that people who lost their bikes can check and verify the bikes at Pattaya Police Station.
