At 03.00, on 7 Jan 08, police officers and the Sawangboroboon Rescue Team rushed round to M.G. Lodge, in Soi Bonggoch, Central Pattaya to render help after receiving an emergency call from the woman’s boyfriend. The fall victim, Miss Benjarat U-mana (34) who is three months pregnant, was found in bed, in Room 206, being attended by her concerned boyfriend. She had bruises all over her body and also had serious stomach pains. She was accordingly rushed to Banglamung Hospital, where doctors subsequently reported that both she and her unborn baby are now safe.

Questioning the couple for details, the police were told that on the evening of the accident, they had been drinking in a shop in front of their place before going back to their room. Reaching the room, feeling merry, they had been joking around, the boyfriend lifted her up in his arms, teasing her that he would throw her out of the window.

However, the joke turned into a nightmare when she slipped out of his arms and fell from the Second Floor window, dropped through the tiled roof and fell to the ground floor. Her boyfriend carried her back to the room, but she was suffering from severe stomach pains, so he called the police and asked for a rescue team to take her to hospital.

The police officers who attended the incident will give a full report to the superintendent who will decide if the case merits further action.
