Plague Rumour in Military Camp

The Navy commander of Sattahip base revealed that the rumour of plague in the camp was untrue after a soldier had died in hospital.

SATTAHIP – July 8,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.00 at Sattahip Navy Base, Vadm.Thanakarn Kraikruan-commander revealed that the death of Private.Yarnwut Sutthiwaree aged 26 who had suffered from a severe disease in the camp and died had been spread on social media sites saying he had died from a plague type of disease. He insisted that it was not true and was just a rumour.

The private had been in the camp for about 2 months before suffering from a high fever on July 4th. He was then sent to Queen Sirikit hospital where he passed away. The doctors diagnoses of his death was that he had suffered from a meningococcal disease.

Later the commander of the base was informed about the situation and ordered the subordinates to control the situation and keep all the soldiers safe. All the soldiers who were in the same company as the deceased had been sent to the Queen Sirikit hospital and had been kept in isolation for 15 days.
