Pirate Fuel Station Caught Red Handed In Pattaya

A man who had illegally traded pirated fuel in Pattaya was arrested by police and soldiers. He confessed to police that he would only steal diesel which he sold for 22 baht a litre.

PATTAYA– October 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 00.30 am Maj.Col.Nopporn Singhasut and 20 soldiers inspected a pirate fuel station after they were notified that they were smuggling fuel from fuel trucks.

 

Upon inspecting the scene it was labour accommodation and there were a lot of fuel tanks, equipment, receipts, some documents about trading fuel and 100,000 baht. Also the officials caught Mr.Suriyasak Pakpai aged 38 and his 2 men.

Upon questioning Mr.Suriyasak he claimed that he illegally made the station and took the fuel from the truck. He took about 30-50 litres of fuel from each truck and he only took diesel which he sold for 22 baht a litre. He had taken fuel from about 20 trucks.

 

As the officials were questioning the suspect a truck turned up to sell some fuel so the officials questioned the truck driver a Mr.Sommai Muenna aged 31and he confessed that he sold some of the fuel he had left after delivering it to a petrol station.

Maj.Col.Nopporn said that the officials found out that there was smuggling fuel so they had monitored them. Later the officials decided to crack down on them. Initially the soldiers notified Pol.Col.Sittisak Wantee-superintedent of Nong Prue police station- to prosecute the suspects.
