Pick-Up Truck Involved In Hit And Run

A pick-up truck which was being driven at high speed hit the handle bar of a motorbike causing it to crash which was being ridden by two Laotian women, the pick-up then fled the scene.

SATTAHIP – February 26,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 p.m., Pol.Lt. (Woman) Karnjanaphas Pathaweesrisuda (police on duty of Sattahip police station) was notified that a gold bronze Vigo Toyota pick-up truck (did not know its license number) had collided with a motorbike and fled in the direction to Amphur Sattahip. The 2 females who were on the motorbike were severely injured. The incident occurred on the Sukhumvit km.179 road, opposite to Soi Khao Morn, Moo 2 Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province, so she rushed to inspect the scene and radioed to stop the pick-up truck but there was no signs of it.

 

At the scene the police found a black-red Honda Wave motorbike, license no. 1 Kor Nor – 819 Chon Buri, which was damaged and the motorbike rider identified as Miss Phim (pink shirt), aged 27, Laotian nationality, she had suffered many scratches and wounds all over her body and was bleeding a lot. Approximately 10 meters away the police also found Miss Nite, aged 25, Laotian nationality, she was also severely injured with many scratches and wounds all over her body. The rescuers performed first aid for them before sending them to the emergency room of the Queen Sirikit Hospital.

Upon questioning Miss Phim she said that she and her friend were going to eat papaya salad at Sattahip market but when they arrived at an incident point a pick-up truck overtook her motorbike on the right hand side and clipped her handle bar causing her to crash, the pick-up then quickly fled the scene.
