Pick-up Causes Motorbike Crash In Pattaya

Two motorbikes which were involved in an accident were hit by a pick-up truck which fled the scene. One of the riders was severely injured and the other was unharmed.

PATTAYA – October 9, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 4.00 a.m., Pol.Lt. Sombat Kaewmunmuk (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) was notified that there was an accident involving 2 motorbikes and 1 male motorbike rider was injured. The incident occurred at an intersection near the entrance of Soi Siam Country Club, Central Pattaya, Moo 9 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect at scene together with rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation, Pattaya city.

 

At the incident the officers found a red-black Honda Click motorbike, license no. Ror Lor Thor 585 Bangkok, and the body of a Thai man (didn’t know his name), aged approximately 30-35, was wearing a Big C Extra, Central Pattaya branch uniform, he had suffered head injuries and severe wounds to his body. Therefore, the rescuers performed first aid on him before taking him to Banglamung hospital.

 

Nearby was another injured victim and motorcycle license no. Kor Phor Thor 986 Maha Sarakham, which belonged to Mr. Phuchit Phraikhao, aged 33, who is also an employee of Big C Extra; he hadn’t suffered any injuries and was waiting for the police. He told the police that a pick-up truck collided with his motorbike so he lost control and hooked up with the motorbike of the injured rider which caused both of them to hit the ground by then the pick-up fled the scene.
