Phoenix Golf Club Group Cons Members

A group of foreigners notified the police that they were cheated by the Phoenix golf club. They had paid a life time member ship and now the golf club had slightly changed its name they had to pay the 200,000 THB membership fee again.

PATTAYA – November 17,2014 [Pattaya Daily News] at 12.30 pm reporters revealed that about 30 foreigners who lived in Thailand had notified the police to prosecute the Phoenix golf club after the club unjustly changed the contract and the club had closed in order to disallow the members to use.

Mrs.Urairat Neelon aged 53 who was wife of the foreigner revealed that most of foreigners were old men and they had registered as life time members at the golf club. They had all paid 200,000 baht each to become members and there were around 1,000 members. Previously they registered with the Phoenix golf and country club Pattaya co.ltd. before the company changed its name to P.O.C. Phoenix golf and country club Pattaya co.ltd. but the executive officers were still the same even though the name had changed slightly. In addition the executives broke the contract of all the members and asked for another 200,000 baht from the original members and the members had to pay a 20,000 baht transfer fee. The old members who don’t pay the money can’t use the golf club. Therefore they decided to notify the police.

Pol.Col.Kampon Leelaprapaporn-superintendent of Huay Tai police station- revealed that he initially recorded the incident and he ordered the officers to collect the name of victims in order to prosecute the operator according to Thai law.
