Phitsanulok Father Arrested For Molesting Daughter

A 41-year-old Phitsanulok man was arrested for sexually abusing his 20-year-old daughter for several years. She finally reported the abuse to her mother, after she got injured when her father beat her with a stick for resisting his latest assault attempt.

PHITSANULOK – February 1, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; a report of a father sexually abusing his daughter was received by Pol. Maj. Gen. Phachara Boonyasit, Commander, Phitsanulok province. Making the complaint at the police station was the victim’s mother, “Mrs. Suay” (alias), age 41, who brought her daughter, identified as “Ms. Sao” (alias), age 20.

The victim had suffered a broken left arm after being beaten by a stick by her father, identified as “Mr. Sek”(alias), age 41. After receiving the report, the investigation officer of Phromphiram police station arranged to follow up to arrest Mr. Sek, who is divorced from the victim’s mother.

The victim told police that the sexual assaults began in June 2008. Her father threatened her not to tell anyone, otherwise he would kill her. The assaults would occur every time that her father drank liquor, and went on for five years, the victim said.

On January 25, her father tried to rape her as usual, but this time the daughter decided to try and escape. However, her father followed her and beat her with a stick of hard wood and injured her left arm. Bystanders saw the event and assisted to send the victim to the hospital.

The injured daughter finally told her mother about the sexual assaults at the hospital. When the victim recovered from her injuries, they came together to notify the police.
