Pet Faeces Causes Bad Smell

A group of local people in Sattahip have complained about a very bad smell of cat and dog faeces coming from a house.

SATTAHIP – June 8 2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.30 p.m., Mr. Aphichart Janjaem (Deputy District Chief of Justice Enhancement Section, Damrongtharm Center, Sattahip District Office) together with Mrs. Somporn Phoomkasem (Director of Public Health and Environment Division, Khet Udomsak Subdistrict Municipality), Miss Radjai Banditsin (Subdistrict Headman of Tambon Sattahip) and Mr. Wanchai Na Wandee (Assistant Subdistrict Headman) together went to inspect at a house that belonged to Mrs. Sasithorn Phithak, aged 52, house no. 27/54, Khe Ha Nakhon Village, Na Wandee community, Moo 4 Tambon Sattahip, Amphur Sattahip, Chon Buri province, after some local people had gathered together to complain with the Damrongtharm Center as they had suffered a bad smell from dog and cat’ faeces.

 

At the scene the officers found a group of people from over 10 houses, Miss Netnapha Kaewkong, aged 48, was the group’s representative. The house in question raised cats and dogs on 21 square wah. There were cages with 26 cats inside and 3 dogs inside this house. Moreover, the officers also found a lot of faeces around the house and in the drains which caused a terrible smell all around the area.

Mrs. Sasithorn Phithak said that she is an animal lover especially dogs and cats and they gave birth to lots of puppies and kittens and didn’t want to leave them on the street so she kept them. She accepted that the smell from the faeces was really bad l so she and her daughter had moved to live elsewhere and let her cats and dogs live at her house in Amphur Sattahip accordingly.

 

Mr. Aphichart Janjaem (Deputy District Chief of Justice Enhancement Section) revealed that after they had officials received complaints from the local people so the officials from the Division of Public Health and Environment and Khet Udomsak Subdistrict Municipality went to inspect the house and issued a notice to have the pets removed.
