PBTA Reveals Drought SituationThe PBTA has revealed that the reservoirs that supply Pattaya are at their lowest since 2005.
PATTAYA – August 31,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; Mr.Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn- director of PBTA (Pattaya Business and Tourism association)- revealed that the association had followed the water crisis in Pattaya after there were only 15 million cubic meters in 5 reservoirs in Pattaya. The water company revealed that the water will last until November.
Upon inspection they found that 250,000 cubic metres of water had flowed from Bang Parkong river into Bang Phra reservoir since the 15th September.
However, the drought in 2005 which caused major problems to tourism in Pattaya is to be avoided because the officials had prepared an action plan to prevent it from happening again. In addition, it’s expected that there will be enough rain during the rainy season to fill up the reservoirs.
