PBTA And Marine Dept To Cope Marine AccidentPBTA and Pattaya marine department discussed to cope marine accident.
PATTAYA – May 11,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; At Grand Sole Pattaya hotel, PBTA (Pattaya Business and Tourism Association) held a conference to discuss about preventing of sea accident. Pattaya Marine department attended the conference.
According to marine accident took place at Tawan beach and led to 2 dead on April 25-26, it made bad effect on tourism image.
Aekkarat Kantharo- director of Marine department- said that Pattaya is the famous tourist attraction and there are about 10-20k of tourists traveling to Ko Lan island; therefore, it’s really needed to provide safety for the tourists.
In 2014, the marine accident took place and made damage on life and property. As a result, Pattaya official and marine department decided to launch “Pattaya Model” to keep safety on sea; however, the accident still occurred.
The officers find out that the cause of problem is recklessness of the driver so they have to ban the operator and cancel driver license. In addition, the officers summon the operator to explain and they would have to intensify on safety rule.
However, Pattaya official intends to control the number of tourist on Ko Lan and they would set the fee.
