Pattaya welcomes Latvian researchers to the city

A group of Latvian teachers and AFS volunteers pay a visit to Pattaya which is their study topic of interest, evaluating tourist attractions and government of the city.

Pattaya, 7th March 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At Pattaya City Hall, Mr. Pisai Phanomwan Na Ayudhya, consultant President of Pattaya Tourism and Sport, is the Chairman of the Board, who welcomed teachers and AFS volunteers from Latvia. The Latvian guests come to Pattaya to conduct a research study, while touring the city.

The purpose of the Latvian study is to evaluate different tourist attraction sites in Pattaya as well as studying the culture of Chonburi. The research also examines how the city’s tax money is being used to maintain public areas.

In addition, Latvian teachers and AFS volunteers are interested in the employment of the people in Pattaya and aim to investigate the most common occupation in Pattaya. They are also fascinated in studying about various tourist attractions in Pattaya.

Mr. Pisai Panomwan Na Ayutthaya; the Advisor of Mayor of Pattaya City, Tourism and Sport, gladly assisted the guests in their research study. He explained to the Latvian group about his management of Pattaya City and his love for the people of Pattaya. He considered himself as “the father” of the people in Pattaya, doing everything he can to prevent any unwanted events. In addition, he also took the group on a tour around Pattaya, highlighting the various popular tourist attractions.
