Pattaya – University Student Arrested With Yah Bah Worth 30 Million Baht

During a press conference held at 11:30 am on the 3rd July 2009 the Chonburi governor and Chonburi police announced the arrest of a major Yah Bah dealer in Chonburi with over 100,000 Yah Bah tablets.

At the Nongkam police station, in the Sriracha district, Mr. Sehnee Jitkasem, the Chonburi governor, Police Major General Bundit Khunajak, Police Colonel Jumnong Rattanakul and Police Lieutenant Colonel Jesda Suaysom revealed they had carried out a sting operation in which a 21-year-old suspected drug dealer was arrested.

Mr. Surasak Singbutdee was searched and found to be in possession of 400 Yah Bah tablets and he also confessed to keeping another 2800 tablets at his home [Supranee house]. At his home the police also found a gun and discovered he had bought the drugs from another big local agent in Panusnikom, Chonburi.

Police then went to house no. 65, Moo. 1 Baan Serd, Panusnikom, where they arrested Mr. Sarit Punhem [21], aka Kay, a third year student of a famous local university. During a search of the house police found 136,000 tablets, 5 guns and 78 rounds of ammunition.

The suspects confessed to receiving a massive supply of Yah Bah from Pratoom Thani province, which is known to be the main source of supply for Yah Bah in the North, but that they had only delivered 10 packages [20,000 tablets] so far.

For now, the suspects have been taken into custody and charged with the possession of 139,000 Yah Bah tablets worth over 30 million baht.
