Sunday October 31, 2009 [Pattaya Daily News]: – On a wonderful night at Pattaya’s Tiffany Theatre, Miss Haruna Ai was the stand-out contestant after a very entertaining event, to take out first prize with a stunning display enjoyed by all. The two runner-up awards went to Miss Kangsadal Wongdusadeekul the Thai entrant and a Miss Daniela Marques, who is from Brazil. Both of the other two contestants performed admirably, however it was Miss Haruna Ai, who was just too special in the end, and deservedly receiving this year’s title.

Miss Haruna Ai had previously taken out the Angel of Talent segment of the 2009 competition, which was held at the Central-Festival at Pattaya Beach Road on the 28th of October. This occurred two days prior to the Final showpiece, where it must be said she was once again the stand-out performer in every way. It must be noted that Miss Haruna Ai is no stranger to the lime light, as she is a famous actress in her home country of Japan, and is also a restaurateur.

This year’s event went off without error or delay, due to the extensive rehearsals of proceedings during the daytime, prior to the competition in the evening. The dedication and hard work of all behind the scenes ensured that a spectacular event took place, which will prove hard to top in the years to come.
