Pattaya Teenagers Caught Red Handed

Two teenagers were arrested by police after they tried to snatch a gold necklace from a French man.

PATTAYA – January 29,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 16.00 pm Pol.Lt.Col.Pawatchai Sudsakorn-deputy inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that 2 teenagers tried to steal belongings from a foreigner in front of PRS hotel, South Pattaya. They were caught by the police at an intersection. After notification he ordered Pol.Capt.Wissanu Chaisuwan-deputy inspector- to lead a team to inspect.

 

At the intersection, the police patrol team arrested Mr.Sakda Chanchai aged 19 and Mr.Pittaya Daorueng aged 18, both suspects in Soi Nern Plubwan road riding a Honda Wave I motorcycle. Mr.Bailly Jean-Christophe 29 year old from France who was the victim told the officers it was the two boys who had been detained.

 

Upon questioning Mr.Bailly he said that he was walking in front of the hotel when 2 men rode a motorcycle alongside him before snatching his gold necklace, the necklace broke and fell on the ground. As the teenagers couldn’t take the gold necklace they quickly fled away before being arrested. Upon questioning Mr.Sakda confessed that he had been arrested before on charges of snatching. He informed police he stole because he had no job.

 

Police officers prosecuted them according to Thai law.

 

Police said that they want anyone to report if they have their belongings stolen to the officers at the Pattaya police station so they can pursue the offenders.
