At 03.40 am, on 4th November 2008, Banglamung police investigator Pol. Lt. Grit In-Kaew was notified that two men had been shot at the Siam Country Club Village. He rushed to the crime scene with a police team and the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Foundation.

At the entrance of the village police found a security man, Mr. Sujinda Un-chai (21), residing at 21/12 Moo. 9 , Nongprue, Banglamung, lying in a pool of his own blood. He had been shot in his left shoulder and under the armpit. Lying next to him was another victim, Mr. Sarayut Kertketbin (21) who had been shot in his left rib.

Both victims were in a serious condition and were rushed to hospital. Mr. Sujinda succumbed to his injuries and died in Banglamung hospital. Mr. Sarayut was sent to Chonburi hospital for an urgent operation.

Police examined the crime area and found bullet marks on the wall but no bullet cases.

Witnesses told the police that the two victims worked as security guards for the village. While on duty at night two Thai men riding a motorbike approached the two victims. The rider stopped the bike and the passenger walked to the victims with a gun in his hand, fired four shots at them and then sped away.

Mr. Sujinda’s relatives told police that Mr. Sujinda had had an affair with his neighbour and her relative was angry and expected him to pay compensation. Mr. Sujinda had paid only half of what they’d asked for.

The incident had happened over a year ago but Mr. Sujinda was still being threatened by the woman’s relative. Police will continue to investigate the case and will search for the murderer and bring the guilty to justice soon.
