Pattaya Prepares For DroughtBang Lamung district chief has said that they are well prepared and can cope with a drought in Pattaya.
PATTAYA – July 24,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at Bang lamung district office, Mr.Chakorn Kanchanawatta-chief district of Bang lamung- chaired a conference to discuss the water situation in Pattaya.
He said that there are now 3 million cubic meters of water in Mab Prachan reservoir that can support Pattaya and nearby districts. Around 228,000 cubic meters of water is needed each day for Pattaya. In addition, Bang Phra and Nong Kho reservoirs needed to support Chonburi town. Officials have insisted that there is enough water in the nearby reservoirs to supply Pattaya until the end of August, and they are well prepared for the worst situation because Pattaya needs a large amount of water each day so they have installed drainage pipes to pipe water from nearby reservoirs to Pattaya.
