Pattaya Police Shoot To Stop Fleeing Snatching Gang

A snatching gang was shot and injured on a Pattaya road by police. Unfortunately a foreigner was also accidentally shot and injured by the police.

PATTAYA – December 13,2014 [Pattaya Daily News] at 20.30 pm Pol.Lt.Kwanchai Numkanisorn-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified by a patrol team that they had shot a snatching gang at the crossroads near the Grand Condominium, South Pattaya. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team immediately rushed to the scene.

 

At the crime scene they found the motorcycle of the villain on the road and there were a lot of bystanders. Also the police and volunteer police had arrested 2 men who were identified as Mr.Akkarapol Buaberk aged 28 who had been shot once in his left leg and Mr,Sittichat Kaewchui aged 17 who had also been shot in his left ankle.

In addition the officers were notified that on Jomtien 2nd road a foreigner and her car had been shot at. The officials immediately rushed to the scene where they found MISS.ELENA SARYCMEVA aged 27 from Russia who had been shot in her left leg. The officers then sent her to Bang Lamung hospital. Also the officials found other 2 trucks which had also been shot and damaged.

 

Upon questioning the witnesses they revealed that 2 police patrols had chased 2 men who were part of a snatching gang and the police started shooting at them for 5-6 times until they fell down but the stray bullets had hit and injured a foreigner.
