Pattaya Police Seize Pirated Goods

Pattaya police have raided a warehouse which contained pirated goods. The goods were waiting to be distributed to various shops and market traders in and around Pattaya.

PATTAYA – June 23, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 11.30 am. Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit Mahathaworn-acting commander-, Pol.Maj.Gen.Chettha Komolwattana-commander-, Pol.Col.Theeraphon Jindaluang-deputy superintendent-, Pol.Col.Thammanoon Munkong-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- and police officers made a statement about the seizure of a large amount of pirated goods from Pornkit Khonsong Co.Ltd which consisted of 840 Adidas shorts, 190 Samsung cell phone cases and 12 purses which were valued around 800,000 baht.


Pol.Maj.Gen.Sanit revealed that previously the police officers had investigated that the company had been supplying pirated goods which came from Bangkok and were sold in Pattaya. Therefore Pattaya police had been given a court order to inspect the warehouse which contained the pirated goods. Upon inspecting the warehouse the police found lots of pirated goods but didn’t find any members of staff working so they are now hunting the owners and operators of the warehouse so they can be prosecuted accordingly.
