PATTAYA – December 12,2014 [Pattaya Daily News] at 15.00 pm Pol.Col.Thammanoon Munkong-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- and Mr.Yuri Mamiadov- a representative from the Russian club-had started a project called “On Call Interpreter” amongst the reporters at Bang Lamung police stattion.

Pol.Col.Thammanoon revealed that previously patrol teams couldn’t communicate with Russian’s. As a result of this the officers couldn’t do their job effectively and they couldn’t catch the villains. Therefore the Russian club opened a project to hire interpreters and will give 5 smartphones to the patrol teams so that the officers could cope with each situation by contacting the interpreters via Facetime, Skype or Line Video Call.

However the project was in its prototype stage in the Bang Lamung area and they aimed to expand the project to other areas in Pattaya, Na Jomtien and Nong Prue. They aimed to ensure the safety of Russian tourist in order to set a good image for Pattaya.
