Pattaya Police Confiscate Cars

Pattaya Police have raided a garage in Pattaya after they were informed that stolen cars were being kept there. The police confiscated about 50 cars and motorcycles.

PATTAYA-July 10, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 18.00 pm Pol.Lt.Col.Pisit Ployrungreung-deputy commander of Chonburi and acting superintendent of Nong Prue police station- was accompanied with Pol.Capt.Kornpong Sukwisit-deputy investigation inspector- who led officers to inspect a garage in Nong Prue, Chonburi after they had been informed that the garage contained stolen cars.


At the scene they found 35 trucks and cars and 10 motorcycles. Mr Apisit Sangmanee the 46 year old the garage owner claimed that 10 of the cars were rented cars that the villagers had rented off him, plus he had a legal contract. As for the remaining cars he said that they were his friends . In addition the police officers inspected his room where they found a 9mm automatic pistol with some ammunition so they confiscated it a long with all the cars and motorcycles.


Upon questioning 3 of the used car shop owners who were Mr Somchai Jatutian aged 62 , Ms Thanyanuch Wanmee aged 35 and Mr Sangad Sae-teng aged 40 they told police that they had rented the cars to Mr Sangchai Roonruaysup the 43 year old garage owner who said that he would rent them to foreigners to make money but when the cars were due back he told them that the foreigners hadn’t returned them so they decided to contact the police who found the cars via their GPS signals. However the police had already confiscated the cars and hunted Mr.Sangchai to prosecute.
