Pattaya Police Clampdown on Street Crime

Pattaya police made a statement about the arrest of 8 defendants who had consumed and possessed drugs and were also caught carrying guns on the streets of Pattaya.

PATTAYA – June 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 12.10 a.m., Pol.Col. Supphathee Boonkhrong (Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police Station, Acting Superintendent of Pattaya city police station), Pol.Lt.Col. Kowit Sawatmongkhon (Inspector of Pattaya city police station), Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) together made a statement about the arrest of 8 defendants of various cases after police mobilized forces to subdue crimes in Pattaya. They arrested 5 defendants for consuming drugs, 1 defendant for possessing 15 amphetamines pills, 2 defendants for carrying firearms.

 

Pol.Col. Supphathee Boonkhrong (Deputy Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police Station, Acting Superintendent of Pattaya city police station) said that the police team had been continually patrolling the streets to reduce crimes as much as possible. Initially, the police sent all the defendants to the inquiry official of Pattaya city police station in order to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
