Pattaya Police Clamp Down on Prostitutes On Beach Road

Pattaya police have cracked down on the prostitutes that loiter along beach road after a foreigner was drugged and robbed by some prostitutes.

Pattaya – Recently [Pattaya Daily News] regarding the case that Mr.Muhammad Amir Waheed a 40 year old from Pakistan was drugged and had is belongings stolen by prostitutes and he lost about 50,000 baht in a hotel in South Pattaya on 16th November.

 

On 18th November at 02.30 am Pol.Lt.Col.Chinnawat Sisawas-deputy superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasmongkol-inspector-, Pol.Capt.Netitorn Rattanasuchanan-deputy inspector- and police officers cracked down on the prostitutes hung around Pattaya beach.

The police officers arrested about 100 prostitutes and the officials warned them and took their photos for evidence. Plus the officers recorded their information and fined them 200 baht each before releasing them.

 

Pol.Lt.Col.Chinnawaty said that some foreigners had been robbed of their belongings by prostitutes and this destroyed the good image of Pattaya. Therefore the police officers decided to crack down on these prostitutes in order to prevent incidents like this happening again.
