Pattaya Police Arrest Online Baccarat Casino OwnerPattaya Investigation police officers were able to track down and arrest a 27 year-old male who secretly opened an online footballing betting service and an online baccarat casino.
PATTAYA – June 10, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; At 00.30 AM, Police Lt. Colonel Kritsnat Tanasupnat, Vice Director of Pattaya City police station together with Police Investigators worked together to arrest 27 year-old Mr. Narenrit Moonla, at a cockfighting village. Police raided his house where he resided at and were able to seize his computer, mobile phone and football results from all over the world. Police were also able to seize bank books and 500 THB cash money. He was alleged to have opened and illegal casino and betting service on the internet without permission, which breaks the Thai law.
Mr. Narenrit claimed that he was hired as a care-taker of the casino and betting service. He said that customers would ask him to refill game-money to play in the online baccarat casino. He said that frequent customers come to refill game-money on a daily basis as the online gambling is extremely addictive.
Police will now try to expand the case regarding the online casino and will now try to arrest the owner of the website, in hopes to sweep all services that involve gambling over the next few years. Mr. Narenrit will now be prosecuted by the Pattaya City police officers.
