Pattaya Police Arrest Murderer

Pattaya police have arrested one of the two suspects who murdered a 60 year old woman at her home and then stole her car.

PATTAYA – April 3,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 10.00 am Pol.Col.Trairong Piwpan-deputy commander-, Pol.Col.Chanapat Nawaluk-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station-, Pol.Col.Chatchapol Pattarasiriphon, Pol.Lt.Col.Thanaset Prachachaisri and police officers made the statement about the arrest of Ms.Rutairat Pomoud aged 28 and Mr.Weerayut Chongharn aged 28 who were suspects in a robbery and murder case.


Previously police officers had found the body of Ms.Apitchaya Noppamas aged 60 on the night of March 21st in her house which was also a grocery store. The thieves then murdered her before taking some of her property and her car. After investigation the police knew who the murders were and asked for an arrest warrant from the Pattaya court. Also the police officers had confiscated the car that they had pawned for 60,000 baht. However, Ms.Supaporn Sitha aged 31 who was Mr.Weerayut’s girlfriend and is wanted for murder is still on the run.

Upon questioning Mr.Weerayut he confessed that he and his girlfriend had worked in a metal plant near Ms.Apitchaya’s house. While they were stealing her car she woke up and caught them in the act so they decided to kill her by covering her with a blanket before beating her to death with a piece of wood.


Pol.Col.Trairong revealed that the police officers had inspected the criminal history of Mr.Weerayut and his girlfriend and they found out that they had been prosecuted before for robbing an employer.

Also the police took the suspect to re-enact at the crime scene where there were a lot of bystanders standing watching and some of the victims’ relatives tried to attack him so the police finished the re-enactment at the police station.
