Pattaya Pickup Driver Jumps Red Light Kills Female Biker

Pattaya, September 1, 2011[Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Col. Prateep Thongdee Pattaya Police was notified about a fatal pick-up and motorbike accident at the Big-C Extra intersection, Central Pattaya Road,

At scene the police and the rescue team found a new Mercedes Benz, sedan white color, model C 200, “red” license plates and a Pattaya taxi yellow-blue color, license number Tor Kor 17 Chonburi . Both at vehicles had dents and scuff marks from the collision. Nearby on the tarmac was a severely damaged motorbike: Honda Click 125 cc, black color, license number Kor Ror Ror-539 Chonburi and beside the bike the body of the owner a Thai woman, named Ms Sunan Srisawang age 29, from Tambon Nongkrating, Buriram province. The victim had broken arms, legs and multiple other injuries. Around 100 metres away police found the pickup-truck a black four-door Mitsubishi Triton; license number 5836 Chonburi. On the right hand side there were dents and scratches. The owner Mr Sichai Tukjeamsiage, age 39 was standing next to the vehicle. Initially he did not confess only claiming that it was an accident.

Mr.Sichai’s niece who was a passenger said that Mr Sichai with her aunt were on their way home after shopping at Big-C and Mr Sichai drove at high speed through the intersection because the traffic lights were turning from yellow to red

and crashing into the woman riding the motorbike. The light had just turned green. She was hit head-on by Mr Sichai’s truck, her body was thrown off the bike and several nearby cars at the traffic lights also were damaged.

Thereafter Mr Sichai, slowed down and parked the truck. He did not try to escape. The police investigated the accident scene and took the dead body to Banglamung Hospital. The relatives of the victim will be informed accordingly. Mr.Sichai the pickup-driver was detained for further investigation according to the law.
