Pattaya Passport And Consular Offices Now Open

The response was overwhelming on June 3rd, after the Pattaya Poasst and Consular offices opened for the first time. Pattaya residents added that it’s a great thing to the offices in Pattaya now, as people who wanted to make their passport had to go all the way to Bangkok before.

Pattaya – June 3, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; 8:30 a.m., The Pattaya Passport offices were opened for the first time on June 3rd, at the Avenue mall in Pattaya Second Rd. Mr.Wattaha Jantawaranon, the Vice Mayor of Pattaya came to visit the new offices as well.

Mr.Kritthong Duangmanee, the Legal officer of the Pattaya Passport Office, revealed the response of the Pattaya residents was extremely overwhelming, but it’s a regarded as positive thing. Often, people who needed to make a passport had to go to Bangkok in order to make one, but since it’s now opened in Pattaya, it’ll be more convenient now.

Mr. Kritthong also said that the reason why Pattaya was chosen by the Ministry of Foreign affairs was because of Pattaya’s large population and economic growth. The ministry wants Pattaya to be the center of the east, so people from the east don’t have to unnecessarily go to Bangkok ever again.

Pattaya temporary passport office division opens to the public from 8:30 am – 16:30 pm daily, Monday through Friday. Every day there will be almost 20 of personnel staff Employees in various departments of nearly 20 employees served for the public convenience. And the part of the official opening ceremony scheduled will be held in mid-July.

The offices are opened from Monday through Friday. Doors are opened at 8.30 AM till’ 4.30 PM.
