Pattaya Officials Inspect Wong Amart Beach Pattaya

Pattaya officials have inspected Wong Amart beach after they informed that waste water was draining into the sea.

PATTAYA– Recently [Pattaya Daily News]; Mr.Weerawat Khakhai-deputy mayor of Pattaya- was accompanied with technical officers to inspect Wong Amart beach after they found out that waste water was draining into the sea.

 

Upon inspecting they found that some contractors had installed drain pipes and pools on the beach in order to prevent the water draining into the sea. However the pipes that were connected to waste water treatment plant weren’t finished and waste water was flowing into the sea.

Mr.Weerawat revealed that Pataya officials allocated about 60 million baht in a budget to construct waste water treatment systems in order to preserve the environment and the project was about 80% finished.

 

The wasted water from the operators will drain in to the pools before draining the waste water into the treatment plant. The officials insisted that the problem will be solved as soon as possible.
