Pattaya Official Cracked On Down Pub

Pattaya police clamped down Noir Pub and Restaurant after they found out that there was drug consumption going in there.

PATTAYA- December 27, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 03.30 am Pol.Maj.Gen.Sompong Chingduang-deputy commander- was accompanied with Pol.Col.Suwichan Yarnkittikul-deputy commander of Chonburi-, Pol.Col.Thitwat Suriyachay-superintendent of Chonburi- and Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasdimongkol-inspector of Pattaya police station- to inspect Noir Pub and Restaurant in North Pattaya.

 

Upon arrival they found about 300 people in there. These people had tried to escape but the police officers surrounded the pub already. Officers turned on the all the lights within the pub before performing a drug test on each individual. Nine people failed the test and the officers also found 12 cannabis cigarettes and 5 pills of ecstasies in tissue paper.

In addition, officers found the main suspect who pretended to be a police officer and put the drugs in the room of victim, in order to extort 50,000 baht, therefore the police officers took him to police station. Later the man told the officers that he needed to talk with another policeman before fleeing away.

 

Pol.Maj.Gen.Sompong revealed that the officers cracked down the pub according to the policy of government to eliminate the drugs during New Year. Previously similar inspections like this in the pubs in Hat Yai had been carried out due to reports of similar activities. Later Pattaya police found out that Noir pub always opened the pub past closing times and there were always quarrelling in the pub. Therefore the officers planned a crack down the pub. In addition the officials were clamping down these venues that broke the rules throughout the country.
