Pattaya Officers Raid Pub Again After It Was Ordered To Close For 30 Days

Administration officers and police have raided The Winner Pub and Karaoke for the second time after it was ordered to close for 30 days. It was ordered to close for 30 days but was open again within in 2 weeks. Now it will be closed for 60 days.

PATTAYA – July 19, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 04.00 am Mr.Prapan Pratumchompoo-deputy chief of security department of Bang lamung district-, administrative officers and police officers from Pattaya police station raided and inspected The Winner pub and karaoke. Mr Sakchai Tang-Ho-chief district of Bang Lamung- had inspected the pub on 5th July and he ordered the pub to close for 30 days but the operator had opened it again before the 30 days had expired.


Upon inspecting the pub they found 100 Thais therefore the officers told the DJ to stop the music and turned the lights on. Some tried to flee the scene but the officers had surrounded the pub and there was no escape. Also the officers found some revellers who had no ID card and 3 teenagers who were under 20.

Also the officers found 1 kilograms of baraku tobacco and 10 bongs which the officers confiscated. Ms Sukuma Pankoson aged 21 who is the cashier was also acting as the manager who wasn’t present at the time of the raid. Initially the officers took everyone to the police station in order to prosecute them. In addition they will ask the Chonburi governor for a 60 day closure notice.
