Pattaya Officers Inspected Walking Street

Navy commanders, police and administrative officers have inspected Walking Street Pattaya in order to check businesses and venues to make sure they were obeying the new rules.

PATTAYA – July 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- VADM.Reungrit Boonsongprasert-commander of Sattahip navy base- was accompanied with Mr.Ronnakit Aekasing-deputy mayor of Pattaya-, Mr.Pongthatsith Pijjanan-deputy chief of Bang Lamung district-, Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-deputy commander of Chonburi and acting superintendent of Pattaya police station- and Pol.Lt.Col.Arun Prompun-inspector- who led a team to inspect entertainment venues in Walking Street Pattaya. Also the officers had discussed issues with representatives from each venue.

 

VADM.Reungrit revealed that they had inspected Walking Street in order to follow up the progress of what had been discussed in the conference about business venues portraying a better image than the past. Previously the officers had been informed that some businesses and venues had assaulted foreigners which had been captured on video and spread via social networking sites. Upon inspecting the businesses and venues the officers found that they had obeyed the order well.

 

As a result of this the expats were satisfied with the changes and hoped it will continue.The officers also added that they will do more inspections in the near future.
