Pattaya To Launch Patrol Team Project

Pattaya officials and private sectors had together made a statement about the launch of the beach patrol teams who are to watch over the safety of the visiting tourists.

PATTAYA- December 1, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News] at 14.00 am at Pattaya police station Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong Niemnoi-commander of Chonburi-, Pol.Col.Suppatee Boonkrong-acting superintendent of Pattaya police station-, Mr.Ronnakit Aekasing-deputy mayor of Pattaya- made a statement together about the opening ceremony of the beach patrol project which will open on the 3rd December. There were representatives from public and private sectors attending.

 

Pol.Maj.Gen.Nitipong said that the tourism was the main revenue of the country, therefore the government and Royal Thai police office aimed to improve security for foreigners in order to prepare for AEC. Therefore Pattaya officials set up a beach patrol team and there were units from the Pattaya police, tourism police, immigration officers, administrative officers, Pattaya officers and both Thai and foreigner volunteers. There were 7 kinds of patrol teams and checkpoint teams, a walking team, a biking team, a golf car team, an ATV team, a Segway team and a horse team who will patrol the area around Pattaya beach, Jomtien beach and Walking Street.

 

Mr.Sinthai- president of the businessmen and Pattaya tourism association- said that this was a really good project to keep tourists safe.

 

The opening ceremony of the project will be held on the 3rd of December from 18.00-22.00 pm and there will be a parade from Pattaya police station trough Walking Street to Bali Hai pier.
