Pattaya Lady Boy Gangs Rounded up by Police

Pattaya police are continuing their clamped down on gangs of lady boy prostitutes who gather along beach road waiting to rob tourists. The police also arrested teenage gangs who were loitering. Over 100 defendants were arrested in total.

PATTAYA – June 20, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 5.00 a.m., Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) had mobilised forces of police and volunteer police team to clamp down on crimes in Pattaya city by rounding up gangs of lady boys that offered sexual services to the foreign tourists along Pattaya beach road and in the area of Walking Street which is the main point of many entertainment spots, in order for tourists to be safe in Pattaya city.

 

The officers arrested over 100 lady boy defendants and many drug addicts. They were all detained and sent to Pattaya police station in order to check their criminal history and also to have their photographs taken and their details recorded before sending them to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.

Pol.Capt. Netithorn Rattanasuchanan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) revealed that tourists were always being robbed by gangs of lady boys which was ruining the image of tourism here in Pattaya, therefore the officers will be continually clamping down on the gangs of lady boy prostitutes and will be recording each and every ones personal information along with photos in order to prevent them from robbing tourists.
