Pattaya, Friday 19th February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: This consisted of a huge contingent of Thailand & international press reporters, S. E. Asian entertainment stars and a lot of officials from both Pattaya City and Thailand’s entertainment industry. It was very professionally staged by the “Hardrock Hotel” on Pattaya’s Second Road, with the outer mezzanine area being set aside for both official press registration, plus an excellent range of food and drinks also being provided.

As well as a large stage at the front of the Hardrock’s large conference room, a big platform had been erected exclusively for the TV camera crews. While all of this may sound relatively unimportant, it is a vital part of creating a massive promotional campaign which ensures that international media coverage gets everyone aware that Pattaya’s 2010 Music Festival is bigger and better than most others in the S.E. Asian Region.

Pattaya’s City Hall very cleverly stepped forward and presented all the international entertainers with a “Key to the City,” which will not only ensure that their freedom of the city will be an unforgettable experience, but also give them the incentive to return to Pattaya again. Mayor Khun Ittiphol Khunplome, talked of the great amount of work that had been done to ensure that visitors to Pattaya had an enjoyable stay, and that there were over1,200 security personnel on duty to guarantee everyone’s safety.

The international stars came from countries such as China, Hong Kong, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, so this was a big and very successful three day entertainment show, which has been very well planned. The long term benefits of much of this expert organization will not be fully realized until next year, when this year’s visitors and entertainers will remember the good times that they had in Pattaya’s “City of Variety,” and want to return again.
