Pattaya Hotel Clerk Steals Money From Till

CCTV footage of YJ hotel has captured a hotel clerk helping himself to the money in the till. He stole 11,500 THB before fleeing the scene.

PATTAYA – September 11, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 2.00 a.m., Pol.Lt. Yom Phromsart (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi) was notified that there was an incident of theft at a hotel and the CCTV had captured footage of the thief. The incident occurred at YJ hotel which is located on Pattaya Third road, North Pattaya, Na Kluea, Banglamung, Chonburi, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with a police team.

 

At the incident the officers found Mr. Achira Mophan, aged 24, who is the hotel clerk, he said that the thief was the receptionist of the hotel identified as Mr. Supphalak Phonsaen, aged 28, residing at house no. 55/2 Phanom Sarakham, Phanom Sarakham, Chachoengsao.

On September 9, 2014 during the day, Mr. Supphalak (the culprit) had applied for the receptionist job and started working in the afternoon of September 10, 2014. During the day he disappeared just before the end of his shift and when Mr. Achira checked for the money in a drawer he found that some cash was missing so he thought that Mr. Supphalak had stolen it.

 

Mr. Achira then inspected the CCTV footage and found that at approximately 8.45.pm. Mr. Supphalak had opened the cash drawer and looked at the cash before stealing 11,500 THB. He then walked out of the hotel got on his motorbike and fled the scene.

 

Pol.Lt. Yom revealed that from checking the history of Mr. Supphalak the officers found that he has been involved in the same type of crime 2-3 times before in other hotels in Pattaya city and he also has an arrest warrant against him for theft. He has already given the CCTV footage to the detective police team to follow up and find clues to arrest him.
