Pattaya Gov. Donate Consumer Goods To Ayutthaya Flood Victims

Pattaya city in co-operation with Pattaya provincial court and Pattaya prosecutor delivered needed consumer goods to the flood victims in Wangnoi district, Phranakorn Sriayutthaya province.

Pattaya, November 8, 2011[Pattaya Daily News]; Pattaya Municipal Administration under Mr. Ithiphol Khunpleum, the Lord Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr. Supean Jeungkreangkrai, The Head of Pattaya Court, Mr. Pakorn Sukonthachart, Pattaya Prosecutor and Mr. Manus Meephong, the executive of the Floating Market and Pattaya Jetski Club donated consumer products such as toothbrushes & toothpaste, soap, rice, food items, drinking water and medicines to the Ayudhaya locals suffering from the recent massive flood disaster in Phranakorn Sriayutthaya province.

 

Traveling to Ayutthaya the convoy faced many difficulties and obstacles due to high water levels along the way. Their six-wheel truck broke down in deep flood water. From Thanyaburi district onwards they had to travel by boat into the flooded villages a distance of approximately two kilometers.

 

On arrival at the village, they met members of the Subdistrict Administration of Hantaphao village and Chamab village. Mrs. Bang-orn Saeeung, told the reporters that the locals, more than 200 families had asked for assistance in form of consumer products from Pattaya City Municipality.

Mr. Ithiphol Khunpreum, the Lord Mayor of Pattaya City together with Pattaya provincial high ranking officers distributed the consumer products to the local people at a temporary donation center which was set up in front of Wat Nomprachasan. Bags filled with consumer products was donated to the monks who arrived by boat.

 

Mr. Ithiphol Khunpleum, the Lord Mayor of Pattaya City said that the donation of the consumer products was to provide relief for the lood victims in Nakorn Sawan province, Pathumthani province, Nonthaburi province and Lopburi province. The relief effort and donations from Pattaya City will continue, said Mr Ithipol Khunpleum.

The Ayutthaya people told the reporter, that after the water will recede they will pay a visit to Pattaya City to thank the Lord Mayor of Pattaya.
