Pattaya Gay Couple Break World Record for Marathon Kiss

A Thai male gay couple broke the world marathon kiss record: 50 hours 25 minutes and 1 second.

Pattaya, February 14, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; At Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, Royal Garden Plaza, Pattaya Pattay Daily News reported about the marathon kissing contest held in Pattaya City for the second time on Valentine’s Day.

 

The idea was to break the Guinness world record, and set the romantic mood for Valentine’s day 2012. The 2011 winners were Mr. Akachai and Mrs.Laksana Tiranarat, who surprised the audience with their marathon kiss lasting over a day or 46 hours 24 minutes and 9 seconds. This year’s contest kicked-off at 16:00 hrs on February 12. Seven couples participated.

 

At the end only two couples remained in the competition. Year 2011 champion’s Mr. Akachai and Mrs. Laksana Tiranara and and gay couple, Mr. Nonthawat Charernkesornsilp and Mr.Thanakorn Sittiamtong. Also standing by was Mr. Ittipol Khunpluem, the Lord Mayor of Pattaya city there to congratulate the winners and present them with big flower bouquets.

 

The PDN reporter said, that after 50 hours and 20 minutes of kissing the 2011 champions were exhausted and threw in the towel. The 2012 new champions: Mr.Nonthawat and Mr.Thanakorn, who won the contest and set a new Guinness Worl Record for the longest kiss with a new duration: 50 hours 25 minutes and 1 second.

 

The prize 100,000 THB in cash, a diamond ring and a gift voucher issued by Anantra Phuket, value 200,000 THB and entry into the Guinness World Records. For the previous champions. Second prize: 20,000 THB cash and a gift voucher.

The second runner team: Mr. Nont Vittayanuch and Miss Thanasuk Aridej their kiss lasted for 45 hours 23 minutes and 23 seconds. The prize: 10,000 THB cash and gift voucher.
